Job summary

Benchmark Human Services is hiring a Family Support Specialist Assistant in Harlem, MT to help families access Montana Milestones early intervention services. The role supports eligibility, assessments, IFSP planning, and coordination with health providers.

Qualified candidates will reside near Harlem or Havre, MT, and must obtain MT certification within two years. The position offers benefits and opportunities for advancement within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Must complete on-the-job training and become MT-certified within two years.

Responsibilities

• Function in an ongoing coordinator role under supervision of a comprehensively certified Family Support Specialist (FSS).
• Assist with eligibility determination, intake, and eligibility activities.
• Conduct family assessments, including interviewing the family.
• Collect child development information through observations.
• Coordinate evaluations and assessments.
• Inform families of rights, options, advocacy and their role in EI.
• Assist families in planning and implementing an IFSP.
• Collect insurance/Medicaid information to coordinate benefits.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper records.
• Monitor service delivery to ensure timely IFSP compliance.
• Coordinate and monitor delivery of available services.
• Communicate with medical and health providers.
• Facilitate transition planning within EI to Part B/ preschool services.
• Meet weekly with supervisor for supervision and feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
