Job summary

AVANCE is seeking an Early Intervention Specialist to support social-emotional development and school readiness for Head Start families in San Antonio. You will collaborate across classrooms and with families to implement trauma-informed, evidence-based strategies and build staff capacity.

The role requires a BA in ECSE or related field, Spanish fluency, and experience with behavioral supports. Travel and ongoing training may be involved, with AVANCE offering a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years supporting young children with social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Experience developing behavior intervention plans and PBIS.
• Experience collaborating with teachers and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Observe classrooms to assess social-emotional development and behavioral support needs.
• Collaborate with the manager and staff to implement and monitor supports and plans.
• Provide coaching and professional development related to social-emotional learning and trauma-informed care.
• Maintain documentation and reports per agency requirements.
