Job summary

IU#5 is seeking an Early Intervention Teacher's Aide (Part-Time) at the Warren County Career Center, Center Based Classroom. The aide will support instructional staff, assist with student care, and help implement programs under supervision.

Hours are 8:45am-3:15pm Tuesday–Friday with 10–29.5 hours weekly; starting in the 2026-2027 school year. Aide I/II salary ranges on the rate schedule, requiring a high school diploma and ability to obtain required clearances.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to students in individual and small group settings.
• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift up to 65 pounds unassisted or 150 pounds with assistance.
• Must complete first aid, CPR, and Handle With Care or CPI trainings.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Must have Act 114, Act 151, and Act 34 clearances.
• Special training for aide/interpreters and Braille readers/writers.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional staff with instruction, supervision, and student care.
• Perform clerical, record-keeping, and instructional support duties.
• Carry out activities as prescribed and supervised by teachers.
• Perform other duties as assigned and approved by the Program Supervisor.
