Job summary

Save the Children is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to join a two-teacher classroom, supporting infants and toddlers with developmentally appropriate activities. You will collaborate with a co-Teacher, maintain program quality, and report to the Center Director or Manager of Education & Inclusion.

You will lead lesson planning, family engagement, and detailed observations while ensuring confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a CDA or an associate degree in child development, early childhood education or a related degree with early childhood equivalent coursework.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals and teams at all levels for high-quality services to children and families.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start program purpose and confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans promoting all developmental areas for preschool readiness.
• Guide and facilitate daily classroom activities and field trips with a co-Teacher.
• Create a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment and maintain equipment.
• Plan conferences and home visits to inform caregivers about child progress and learning routines.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and licensing requirements.
