Job summary

Regina Coeli Child Development Center is seeking an Early Head Start educator to provide a safe, supervised educational setting for infants and toddlers. You will promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development and encourage parent involvement in all aspects of the program.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with a CDA in an infant/toddler setting or a college degree in ECE/CD, and experience with early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in an early childhood setting with infants/toddlers.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer and e-mail proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements.
• Maintain an open, friendly, professional relationship with staff and families.
• Participate in annual self-assessment and quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitor confidentiality of children’s records.
• Develop and utilize integrated curriculum plans reflecting mandated elements and family culture.
• Communicate progress with parents and plan parent conferences and home visits.
• Document baselines and ongoing assessments in CC Gold; use PROMIS for records.
• Assist with general classroom needs and staff trainings.
