Grand Portage Early Head Start is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to professionally care for infants and toddlers, implementing age-appropriate activities and maintaining safety and comfort for children and families.
The role requires a CDA credential or willingness to obtain one, with training available. A background check and pre-employment drug testing are required, and American Indian Preference applies.
Early Head Start Teachers must be professionally prepared and qualified to work with very young children and their families in a culturally relevant manner. They must have knowledge of infant/toddler development and Head Start requirements. They must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Responsible for providing care for infants and toddlers, implement early childhood activities as directed and provide basic care as naps, diaper changing and feeding.
