Job summary

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a highly motivated scientist to support the client’s Early Formulation Science and Drug Delivery group on-site in Cambridge, MA, five days a week. The role involves developing traditional and enabled formulations for preclinical studies and performing basic in vitro experiments and data interpretation.

The candidate will work with Pharmacology/Biology scientists and project leads, contributing to bio-performance and stability risk assessments for oral

Qualifications

• MS with 2-4 years of experience or BS with 3-6 years in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Physics, Physical Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Experience in pharma/biotech R&D supporting drug discovery or early development.
• Hands-on experience with small molecule drug candidates and physicochemical characterization.
• Practical experience operating and troubleshooting HPLC systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Prediction and experimental evaluation of physicochemical properties of potential small molecule drug candidates (solubility and chemical/physical properties).
• Contribute to development and evaluation of fit-for-purpose formulations for preclinical studies (oral, subcutaneous, intravenous, etc).
• Perform dissolution / precipitation/ flux studies of drugs in biorelevant conditions.
• Support laboratory experiments for novel research efforts in pharmaceutics and biopharmaceutics.
