This role acts as a talent pipeline, preparing qualified candidates for future full-time teaching openings within the district, and requires strong communication and collaboration with staff.

Normal work hours, 193 days per year, non-exempt status, and full-time employment with the campus leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or actively pursuing degree.
• Eligible to enroll in a teacher certification program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction based on provided lesson plans and learning objectives.
• Cover classrooms campus-wide when the assigned teacher is absent.
• Manage student behavior and classroom routines.
• Take attendance and complete required documentation.
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, families, and campus leadership.
• Work collaboratively with experienced teachers to strengthen instructional planning and classroom practices.
• Communicate with administration on coverage needs.
• Attend required staff meetings and professional development.
• Step into full-time teaching roles as openings arise.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
