Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Teacher in Naperville, IL to support infants through preschoolers. You will create hands-on activities, communicate milestones to families, and maintain a safe classroom in person at our center.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, plus coursework in early childhood education or CDA; 1 year of relevant teaching experience is preferred. State IL Teacher Qualification requirements apply. This is a full-time, on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• College-level coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• Must meet state requirements to be Teacher Qualified in the State of IL (60 sem hrs or 90 quarter hrs with related courses).
• Alternative paths include 1 year of child development experience with required college credits or CDA credential.

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or nearby locations.
