Job summary

Bright Horizons Family Solutions, LLC. seeks a Teacher to join our in-person early education center in Skokie, IL. You’ll create engaging activities, communicate with families, and maintain a safe, clean classroom following Bright Horizons guidelines.

The role requires state- and company-mandated background checks, a high school diploma or GED, and preferred CDA/college coursework or degree in early education. We offer growth, tuition assistance, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
• Related college-level early education course work or CDA is required
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required
• Must meet state requirements to be Teacher Qualified in the State of IL: 60 semester hours... OR 1 year of child development experience... AND 30 semester hours... OR Completion of CDA-approved credential programs

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
