Job summary

FNA Group in Fairbanks, AK is seeking a Disability Coordinator to support children with developmental delays or disabilities within Head Start. You will collaborate with families, teachers, home visitors, and partner agencies to design and implement a plan of care aligned with IFSP/IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and Alaska licensing requirements.
• Ability to work with Alaska Native and American Indian populations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement FNA Head Start 0-5 Disabilities Policies and Procedures to guide action.
• Facilitate the referral process for children identified for evaluation or services.
• Coordinate IFSP/IEP development and review with partnering school district liaisons.
• Maintain tracking systems, files, documentation and reporting forms for disabilities and coaching components.
• Ensure all activities are timely and monitoring reports are accurate and accessible.
• Link families to community resources and work with staff to coordinate services.
• Arrange supportive services (transportation, information, resources) for families.
• Monitor on-site and off-site services (OT/PT/SLP) and classroom setup for inclusion.
• Provide staff training and development on disability practices and family engagement.
