North Coast is seeking an experienced Head Start Cook to manage meal planning and preparation at HSCDP sites in Ukiah, CA. You will follow CCFP guidelines and supervise sanitary kitchen operations while coordinating with staff to support nutrition education.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English communication, strict adherence to budgets, inventory control, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Hours vary based on site needs.

Formación

• Three ECE/CDV or Nutrition/Culinary units within 12 months of being hired.
• Level II: 6 ECE/CDV units or 6 units in Nutrition/Culinary or related field.
• Level III: 6 ECE/CDV units or 6 units in Nutrition, Culinary or related field; 2 years HSCDP cook experience.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and prepare meals and snacks per menus and CCFP guidelines.
• Ensure health and safety of children.
• Maintain inventory and purchase groceries within budget.
• Keep kitchen labels up to date.
• Complete required kitchen reports and forms.
• Assist in classroom during breaks as needed.
