Job summary

Bright Horizons in Chapel Hill, NC is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in person at our center. You will assist with hands-on activities, communicate with parents, and help maintain a safe, inviting learning environment.

Candidates can pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost, with potential for career growth within Bright Horizons. In this role, you will follow center policies, support coverage, and uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Background checks required by state and company.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
• Fulfill mandated reporter requirements and report suspected child abuse/neglect.
• Provide classroom support across centers as needed.
