Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Boston seeks a qualified Teacher Childcare to provide a safe, nurturing early education program for infants and toddlers. The role includes implementing developmentally appropriate activities, assessing progress, and maintaining strong interactions with families.

The ideal candidate holds an EEC teacher certification or equivalent education/experience, demonstrates reliability, and commits to ongoing professional development and teamwork within the center.

Qualifications

• EEC teacher certification required per listed combinations.
• Experience with early childhood education and development.
• Background check CORI/SORI/DCF and fingerprinting.
• Ability to work varied hours and participate in staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional boundaries; model CCAB mission.
• Contribute to children’s learning, growth, and development.
• Supervise children for safety indoors and outdoors.
• Document and communicate observations to the Director.
• Plan curriculum materials and participate in planning and evaluation.
• Meet EEC professional development hours annually.
• Establish positive relationships with parents, children, and colleagues.
• Follow health, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Attend meetings and trainings with possible early/late hours.

Microsoft Office Suite

Education

BA in early childhood and 6 months’ work experience

BA in related field and 2 early childhood courses

AA in early childhood and 1 year experience

CDA in early childhood and 2 years’ experience

High school diploma and 3 courses in early childhood with 3 years’ work experience
