Job summary

This role collaborates with teaching staff to deliver a developmentally appropriate curriculum and help establish routines that support growth across social, emotional, physical and intellectual domains. You will prepare learning environments, assist during breaks, complete monthly lesson plans, maintain records, undergo background checks, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer CDA or ECE Initial teaching certificate or related field with at least six months experience.
• Completion of 30 hours Childcare Basics upon hire and obtain ECE Initial certificate within two years.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; empathy for diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team and maintain a professional environment.
• Share classroom responsibilities and maintain cleanup across staff.
• Create and implement lesson plans for infant or school-aged classrooms.
• Submit monthly lesson plans to Childcare Coordinator.
• Prepare monthly paperwork and turn in on schedule.
• Provide coverage for teachers during breaks and planning times.
• Notify coordinators of absences and report incidents per policy.
• Attend required meetings and trainings; follow tribal guidance.
