Job summary

Bright Horizons is hiring full-time teachers for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in the Arlington, VA area. You will create engaging, hands-on activities and communicate with families about each child’s milestones, all while upholding a safe, well-organized classroom environment.

State and company background checks are required. A high school diploma or GED is required, and ongoing education like CDA or college coursework in early childhood is preferred.

Qualifications

• Background checks required by state and company.
• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• College-level coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate/bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool is preferred.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) is required.

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe, clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group across a center or nearby locations.
