Job description

Early Childhood Educator ~ Palo Alto, CA

Full-time positions are now available with infants/toddlers (0-24 months) and preschoolers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
  2. Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
  3. Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
Qualifications:

Candidates must pass required background checks and meet minimum education and experience requirements:

  • At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: CDA, Associate, or Bachelor's degree in early education or related field
  • 12 Child Development units completed, including Child Development, Child, Family, and Community, Introduction to Curriculum, and Principles and Practices; Infant and Toddler Development class required for Infant/Toddler positions
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for children
  • Transcripts required at hire
  • Preferred: AA/BA in Early Childhood Education
Physical and Legal Requirements:

This position requires compliance with health and safety regulations, including immunizations, physicals, and training. Work is in person at an early education center, ensuring children's safety and well-being. Detailed physical requirements are available at Bright Horizons careers page. Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly rate ranges from $25.75 to $31.25, with actual offers depending on experience, education, and other factors. A hiring incentive of $3,000 payable after 100 days of employment is available.
