Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Summary

We are seeking a part-time lead and assistant teacher for our 2-3 year old class. The right candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working in a care environment for this age group. Experience in approaching behavioral issues and working with children with emerging special characteristics is preferred.

Morning hours of work: 4-5 hours daily.

Ratio: 1:3 min - 1:6 max

Pay: $15 - $19 an hour

Duties

• Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
• Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
• Maintain frequent communication with parents through informal discussions, reports, and conferences.
• Ensure all policies and regulations are met.
• Maintain a healthy classroom environment, including hygiene, safety, and security standards.
• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure adherence to planned activities and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
• Engage in ongoing professional development for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
• Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• High energy, teamwork skills, and understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Clear background check and health screening.
• Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field with at least 30 credits in ECE.
• Physical ability to perform walks, handle objects, and engage in physical activities.
• Vision abilities including seeing up close, colors, and depth perception.
• Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
