Job summary

Graland Country Day School in Denver seeks an educated, energetic educator to assist a lead childcare teacher in creating a nurturing and organized classroom. You will respond to individual developmental needs and support families and staff.

The role is full-time, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, with required professional development and compliance with state rules. Reports to the Associate Head of Lower School and ECLC Director.

Qualifications

• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Psychology, Special Education.
• Associate’s degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education with six months of verified experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years training and/or experience working with children ages one to four.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in care and safety of up to ten children.
• Support planning and implementation of daily lesson plans and communications to families.
• Maintain age-appropriate classroom routines and schedules.
• Set up daily activities, snacks, diapering, cleaning and supervision.
• Use positive guidance strategies and foster DEI awareness.
