Job summary

Romulus Community Schools is hiring for an Early Childhood position at the Romulus Early Childhood Center. The role involves daily interaction with children, maintaining Health & Safety standards, and assisting in the classroom under supervision.

The position is grant funded, requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior experience in early childhood is preferred. Typical hours are 8:00am–3:30pm Mon-Thu and 8:00am–11:30am every other Friday, approximately 29.75 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience or training in early childhood preferred.
• Neat appearance, pleasant personality and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Interact with the children in a positive manner.
• Practice Health & Safety Standards.
• Disinfect the toys, cots, and other equipment in your assigned classroom(s)/area.
• Use the laundry room to wash and dry bedding.
• Provide breaks for the teammates in your classroom/area.
• Assist in the room where needed.
• Keep equipment and supplies organized and neat.
• Accept supervision and feedback as positive.
• Work as a team with your teacher and assistant teacher.
• Other duties may be assigned.
