Qualifications

Job description

The Teachers for Tomorrow connects early childhood educators to childcare centers across the Twin Cities that need reliable, consistent classroom support. We were built by a childcare professional who lived these staffing challenges herself, so we are not a faceless agency filling shifts. We provide peace of mind for our educators and for the centers we partner with.

The Role

As an Early Childhood Substitute Teacher, you step into childcare center classrooms when a center needs coverage. You support children, partner with the classroom team, and help the day run smoothly. We hire Aides, Assistant Teachers, and Lead Teachers, and our recruiting team matches you to the level you qualify for.

You choose when you work, where you work, and how often. Our minimum availability is 16 hours a week, so there is flexibility built in from the start.

Who We Are Looking For

Retired teachers, current or former preschool and childcare center educators, teaching assistants, education college students, and parents returning to work. You do not need a perfect resume. You need to show up, care about children, and want more control over your schedule than a traditional classroom job allows.

Pay

$17.00 to $21.00 per hour to start, based on position and Minnesota Rule 3 qualifications. Pay increases with verified experience and education credentials.

Service Area

Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, Dakota, Scott, Carver, Wright, and Washington Counties, plus select zip codes in St. Louis Park, Richfield, Edina, Robbinsdale, Brooklyn Center, and St. Paul/Falcon Heights.
