Job summary

The Teachers For Tomorrow places substitute educators in childcare centers across the Twin Cities metro. As a Substitute Aide, you will support lead and assistant teachers in creating a safe, nurturing classroom for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years, helping with daily routines, activities, and a clean, organized space.

You set your own schedule with a minimum of 16 hours a week, and choose shifts that fit your life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with children in an early childhood setting is preferred, not required.
• At least 18 years old, with reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 25 miles to a partner center.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• A smartphone with internet access for scheduling and communication.

Responsibilities

• Support lead and assistant teachers in supervising children and keeping them safe throughout the day.
• Help with meals, rest periods, transitions, and structured activities alongside the classroom team.
• Set up and clean up learning activities and keep the classroom organized.
• Interact with children through play and conversation that supports their social, emotional, and physical growth.
