Job summary

Next Door Foundation Inc is seeking a Special Instructional Assistant for the Milwaukee, WI program. The role supports students with developmental delays and social/emotional needs under supervision, assisting teachers and implementing individualized goals per IEPs and PBIS plans.

Responsibilities include supporting instruction, behavior plans, and collaboration with Disabilities and Mental Health teams, while maintaining confidentiality and participating in ongoing trainings.

Qualifications

• Education level required: 2 year degree.
• Credential required or obtainable: CDA or Early Childhood Diploma.
• 2 years of experience working with preschool children in a group setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in addressing instructional and behavioral needs of students with disabilities.
• Support development of individualized instructional activities and behavior plans under supervision.
• Attend meetings to update IEPs, evaluation reports and behavior plans as requested.
• Communicate with teachers and parents regarding student needs and progress.
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and Pyramid Model practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in trainings to stay current with standards.
