Ampersand Therapy in Aurora, CO is hiring an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher to support preschool students (ages 3-5). You will provide specialized instruction and early intervention services to help students build foundational academic, communication, social-emotional, adaptive, and behavioral skills.

This role emphasizes collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams to create meaningful learning experiences, with a focus on equity and a nurturing classroom

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License with Special Education endorsement.
• Early Childhood Special Education endorsement preferred.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for supporting young learners and their families.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for preschool-aged students.
• Provide specialized instruction in communication, social-emotional development, adaptive skills, and pre-academic areas.
• Create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning activities.
• Support students with varying developmental delays and disabilities.
• Collaborate with families, therapists, and educational staff to support student success.
• Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and maintain compliant documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and positive behavior supports.
• Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
