Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District seeks a paraprofessional to support students with disabilities, both in and out of the classroom. You will assist with IEP implementation, behavior management, and instructional tasks under the supervision of a certified teacher.

The role requires a high school diploma/GED, 48 college hours, and SBEC paraprofessional certification, plus CPR and NCI training within the district calendar. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 48 college hours from an accredited college or university.
• Paraprofessional certificate issued by the SBEC.
• CPR, Heimlich maneuver, and NCI certifications within district training calendar.
• Experience working with students and parents.
• Ability to communicate in English (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional materials and modifications for students with disabilities.
• Support teacher with behavior management and classroom instruction.
• Participate in staff development and apply learned strategies in the curriculum.
• Work with individual students, small groups, and whole class as assigned.
• Assist students with severe development and communication delays to implement goals.
