Job summary

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, with CDA certification preferred and pursuing an Associate’s in Early Childhood Education; bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic educational program principles.
• Knowledge of proper handling procedures for food.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate activities.
• Skill in applying appropriate communication to maintain classroom control.
• Skill in working with young children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in provision of daily classroom teaching and preparation activities.
• Assist in facilitating small group sessions and maintain safe classroom environment.
• Prepare classroom materials and assist with lesson goals and objectives.
• Adhere to ethical conduct and program standards.
• Document student progress and participate in parent conferences.
