Job summary

Western New Mexico University is seeking an Early Childhood Programs Instructional Assistant to support on-campus classroom activities in Silver City. You will help teachers prepare activities, maintain portfolios, and attend staff meetings while complying with accreditation standards and the NAEYC Code.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort and instruct children in personal hygiene.
• Supervise playground activities.
• Plan and supervise meals, snacks, and refreshments.
• Clean and organize classroom areas; sanitize as needed.
• Assist teachers with preparing activities.
• Maintain student portfolios and materials.
• Participate in staff meetings and discussions.
• Adhere to the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct.
