Job summary

Community Services for Children, Inc. is hiring an Early Childhood Development Support Specialist to provide operational, environmental health and safety, and program support for high-quality Early Head Start and Head Start programming in Allentown, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Knowledge of infant, toddler, and preschool development and health and safety practices.
• Experience supporting classroom operations, environmental monitoring, or program compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor classroom environments for compliance with Head Start standards and regulations.
• Complete health and safety monitoring activities and follow up on concerns.
• Collaborate with staff and partners to address environmental concerns, inspections, and actions.
• Promote safe learning environments through health, safety, emergency, transportation, and protection procedures.
• Maintain inventories and support ordering and replacement of classroom materials.
• Provide classroom coverage, home-based program support, and other direct service support as needed.
• Provide transportation assistance for children and families per agency policies.
• Develop proficiency in ChildPlus and other agency systems for accurate documentation.
