Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA or related credential preferred.
• AA degree or 72 college credits, or ability to pass Federal Para-Educator test.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Start Lead Teacher with instructional tasks.
• Supervise children inside and outside the building.
• Provide instruction support in centers and small groups; model play.
• Prepare classroom materials and maintain weekly records.
• Support social, behavioral, and emotional needs of students.
• Perform basic clerical tasks and help with cleaning/disinfection of materials.
