Job summary

Ascension Catholic Academy seeks substitute teachers to join our preschool team. Under the supervision of the Director of Early Childhood Learning, you will assist with lesson preparation, support students during activities, and help maintain a safe and organized classroom.

Ideal candidates are warm, patient, and reliable, with the ability to follow plans and adapt to daily needs. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with opportunities to work across Assistant Teacher and Teacher roles.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting preschool children in a classroom.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt activities.
• Strong communication with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day tasks including lesson prep and activity support.

Job Summary:

We are seeking substitute teachers to join our preschool team. Under the supervision of the Director of Early Childhood Learning, the substitute teacher will assist with day-to-day tasks such as preparing lessons, supporting students during activities, and maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support students during lessons, small group activities, and playtime to promote their development
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
• Use active listening and problem-solving skills to support the needs of students
• Learn technology skills as required by the position

Schedule:

8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.

Pay Range:

$17 - $25 per hour non-exempt benefit-eligible position given the level you are substituting for. We have both Assistant Teacher and Teachers needed.
