82nd Street Academics - Preschool Lead Teacher Position

82nd Street Academics is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher for our UPK Preschool Programs.

Hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Weekly payroll is provided.

Qualifications:

• Have an Early Childhood (Birth to Grade 2) certification or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Fluent in English and one other language (Spanish, Mandarin, or Bengali).
• Prior classroom experience with children aged 3K and 4K; enrolled in or certified through an accredited Early Childhood Education program.
• Study plan teachers with at least 90 credits in Early Childhood Education or enrolled in a master's program if holding a BA in an unrelated field are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise children and plan lessons/activities for 4-year-old students.
• Delegate tasks to Teaching Assistants and support staff.
• Follow NYCDOE instructional units and support students' emotional growth.
• Maintain accurate health and safety data records.
