Job summary

Napa Center Inc. in Hawthorne, CA seeks an Early Childhood Intervention Assistant to support the Lead Teacher in caring for and guiding young children.

You will help implement goals, supervise activities, and promote social, physical, and mental development in a safe classroom. Responsibilities include preparing materials, assisting individualized and group lessons, coordinating with families, and maintaining hygiene and classroom standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six ECE units.
• High school diploma.
• DOJ/FBI background clearance.
• CPR and First Aid certificates preferred.
• Ability to communicate confidently with teachers, therapy team and families.
• Display professional empathy and rapport-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students individually and/or in groups, adapting teaching methods and using educational games as tools.
• Assist in developing lesson plans and prepare materials and classrooms for activities.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons and communicate them to students.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe learning environment and supervise students.
• Assist children with hygiene routines and monitor attendance.
