NAPA Center in Hawthorne, CA, seeks an Early Childhood Intervention Assistant to support the Lead Teacher in caring for and educating young children, fostering social, physical, and mental development in a safe classroom environment.

Under supervision, you will help plan lessons, supervise students, communicate with families, and participate in training while upholding the center's values. Prior experience with birth to 3 and ECE units is preferred, and clearance is required.

Competenze

• Minimum of six ECE units and a high school diploma.
• At least 1 year of working with kids birth to 3 preferred.
• DOJ and FBI background clearance required.
• CPR and First Aid certificates preferred.
• Ability to communicate confidently with teachers, therapy team and families.
• Demonstrate professional empathy and rapport-building.

• Instruct students individually and in groups using varied tools.
• Assist in developing lesson plans and prepare materials.
• Establish clear objectives for lessons and projects.
• Assist students needing extra help.
• Maintain rules for behavior and classroom order.
• Meet with parents to discuss progress and goals.

• Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
• Adapt content to meet class needs.

• Assist with hygiene needs, including diapering.
• Maintain attendance records.
• Utilize Excel and the company billing system.
• Participate in professional training as needed.
