Job summary

VOALA seeks an Instructional Coach to support teachers in Head Start/ Early Head Start programs in the Los Angeles area. You will collaborate with the Education Program Manager to provide personalized coaching and PD, aiming to improve student learning outcomes.

Responsibilities include needs assessments, CLASS observations, data review, and guiding teachers toward research-based instructional practices, with a focus on growth and accountability within the HS/EHS framework.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting needs assessments and providing targeted coaching.
• Ability to observe classrooms, score CLASS observations, and analyze data.
• Setting short- and long-term goals with teachers based on assessments.
• Promote evidence-based instructional practices to improve student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Observe classroom and conduct Teacher Needs Assessments (TNA).
• Conduct and score CLASS observations.
• Review and analyze data, DRDP results, CLASS scores, etc.
• Establish short- and long-term goals based on observations and TNA.
• Communicate and demonstrate research-based instructional practices.
• Link teacher assessment to teacher performance.
