Summary

Woodmont Baptist Weekday Preschool ("WBWP") seeks an energetic, nurturing, and positive individual to be a teacher in our infant program for the 2025-2026 school year. WBWP serves children from four months through 5 years of age and partners with families to provide developmentally appropriate preschool education in a respectful, creative, nurturing Christian environment. Our teachers and assistant teachers are responsible for fostering a warm and accepting atmosphere while promoting play.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily activities and evaluate their effectiveness in child development.
  • Ensure the safety and physical well-being of children.
  • Contribute to the effective operation of the childcare center.
  • Assist in preparing the classroom, setting up centers, and preparing materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain a healthy classroom environment, including hygiene, safety, and security.
  • Foster self-worth in children by treating them with dignity and respect.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
  • Participate in personal professional development for continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Clear background check and annual health screening.
  • High energy, teamwork skills, and ability to work well with staff, children, and parents.
  • Prefer at least 1 year of early childhood experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to adhere to WBWP's philosophy and curriculum.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to diverse situations.
  • Infant CPR and First Aid Certification (can be obtained after employment).
