Qualifications

• Experience in an early childhood program or similar setting.
• Demonstrated ability to relate sensitively to children and families.
• Ability to plan and implement appropriate activities for children.
• Ability to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Daily care of 4 children ages 0-3 in a center-based setting.
• Develop appropriate written weekly lesson plans.
• Complete student assessment with documentation four times per year.
• Use space, materials and routines to create an engaging learning environment.
• Provide activities to promote physical development and healthy nutrition.
• Support language development and independence in children.
• Encourage positive social interactions and mutual respect.
• Work cooperatively with staff on policies and activities.
• Arrange two home visits and two teacher/parent conferences per year.
• Assist in developing and implementing School Readiness Goals.
