Job summary

Town & Country Early Learning Center in Middletown, CT is seeking dedicated educators to join our team. We have openings for infant/toddler and preschool teachers to create a nurturing environment for our youngest students.

You will develop engaging lesson plans, collaborate with a seasoned teaching team, communicate with families, and maintain high standards of professionalism. The role requires a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of early childhood experience.
• AS (BA/BS preferred) in ECE or related field with at least 12 ECE credits.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must be 18 years or older and fully vaccinated against covid-19.
• Must clear background check and health screening.
• Ability to take frequent walks and engage with children physically.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized attention and education to a small group of children, promoting development.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to create a cohesive learning environment.
• Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism in teaching and classroom management.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans catering to diverse needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and stakeholders to support partnership.
• Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusivity in the classroom.
• Conduct regular parent-teacher conferences to update families on progress.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Work a standard 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
