Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking a Kindergarten Readiness Teacher to prepare children for kindergarten through intentional instruction, play, and hands-on experiences. You will foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning in a structured classroom while meeting licensing and ratio requirements.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching in early childhood, and a CDA credential with an associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience in an early childhood setting.
• CDA credential required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Passion for preparing young children for kindergarten success.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and team members.
• Commitment to high-quality learning environments and ongoing growth as an educator.
• Positive attitude and collaborative spirit with a love for helping children learn.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons focused on kindergarten readiness.
• Foster literacy, math, language, science, social-emotional development and independence.
• Maintain organized classroom meeting licensing and ratio requirements.
• Teach independence, routines and self-help skills for kindergarten readiness.
• Observe, assess and document progress to guide instruction and goals.
• Communicate with families through daily updates and conferences.
• Document attendance, assessments and records.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve classroom quality and student outcomes.
• Create a warm, welcoming environment where children feel valued and excited to learn.
