Manor Independent School District Child Development Center in Austin, Texas is seeking a Day Care Associate to supervise a developmentally appropriate learning environment for children birth to 5 years old and to ensure compliance with NAEYC standards. You will report to the Center Coordinator and the Early Childhood Education Director.

Requirements include 18 years of age, a high school diploma or GED, and CDA or AAS in child development preferred.

Competenze

• Must have high school diploma or GED; CDA or AAS in child development preferred.
• Minimum six months of experience with young children; two years preferred.
• Ability to work well with young children and communicate effectively.

Mansioni

• Plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
• Works with staff to ensure health and safety following hand washing, sanitation, and diaper-changing procedures.
• Welcomes each child and parent to the classroom and prepares educational materials daily.
• Ensures safety, upkeep and age-appropriate equipment for birth to 5 years.
• Maintains positive relationships with parents and communicates frequently.
• Supervises all children at all times and participates in staff development and meetings.
