Job summary

Circle C Child Development Center in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Assistant Education Director to join our leadership team. The role partners with the Education Director to run the Education Department, develop staff, and uphold our high standards for children, families, and educators.

You will lead teacher coaching, coordinate staffing, manage training, and ensure Texas licensing and NAEYC accreditation requirements are met in a busy, collaborative preschool environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or Child Development.
• Minimum people management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with multiple software platforms (e.g., Procare).
• Ability to balance classroom and operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach teachers with real-time feedback and guidance.
• Monitor classroom practices and ensure curriculum fidelity.
• Manage staff development, training hours, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate staffing, hiring decisions, and onboarding.
• Ensure licensing compliance and NAEYC accreditation standards.
• Serve as liaison between teachers and families.
