Job summary

The Early Childhood Resource Center, a Ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System, is hiring a full-time Early Childhood Specialist for the Akron location. The role focuses on coaching, training, and quality improvement for early childhood professionals.

Responsibilities include on-site support, observed assessments, grant management, and development of developmentally appropriate practices under state standards. Excellent benefits and a supportive work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; associate degree and related experience considered in lieu of a Bachelor's.
• Firm knowledge of early childhood education and workforce development.
• Experience with adult training and/or career counseling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects from inception through evaluation.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site coaching and support to child care teachers and administrators, guiding curriculum implementation and licensing standards.
• Develop and deliver engaging training sessions in person and virtually for educators.
• Conduct classroom observations and assessments to support teacher growth.
• Manage grant initiatives to enhance child care learning experiences.
• Develop and provide professional development opportunities aligned with Birth to Kindergarten standards.
