Job summary

Children’s Therapy Center in Kent, WA is seeking an experienced Developmental Specialist-Special Educator to join our ESIT team serving infants and toddlers birth to 3. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field is required or current WA State teaching certificate.
• ESIT credential or credential application is preferred/ required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Experience with infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to educate and coach families across cultures and environments.

Responsibilities

• Participate on a multi-disciplinary team to conduct family-centered screenings, evaluations, and ongoing assessments.
• Educate parents and caregivers on child development across cultural differences.
• Provide caregivers with coaching in the home, natural environments, and telehealth.
• Coach families to support culturally relevant routines promoting health and development.
• Collaborate with caregivers to develop and implement the IFSP.
• Develop strong relationships with caregivers and ESIT team members.
• Participate in team meetings, staffing, and peer coaching sessions.
• Integrate cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic diversity into daily routines.
• Support healthy attachments and interactions between caregivers and children.
