Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Early Childhood Development Facilitator for a learning center in Upington. You will design and deliver age-appropriate activities that foster curiosity, safety, and holistic development in young children.

We value passionate educators with a National Diploma in ECD and at least 2 years of experience, who communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to support each child’s well-being and learning journey in the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Early Childhood Development or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education.
• Strong understanding of child development theories and practices.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a nurturing and dedicated Early Childhood Development Facilitator to join their learning center in Upington . This role focuses on creating a stimulating and safe environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills through play-based activities. You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate educational programs, monitoring children's progress, and communicating effectively with parents. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering the holistic development of children in the Northern Cape , contributing to a positive and enriching start to their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities for young children.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and guardians regularly.
• Manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions among children.
• Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and any special needs.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Early Childhood Development or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an early childhood education setting.
• Strong understanding of child development theories and practices.
