About the Role

Our client, a nurturing and vibrant early learning center in Welkom, Free State , is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Development Educator. This part-time position is ideal for an individual passionate about fostering the foundational development of young children in a safe and stimulating environment. The educator will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for young children (ages 0-5).
• Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Observe and assess children's progress, documenting observations and developmental milestones.
• Communicate effective with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and well-being.
• Implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and learning materials.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field (e.g., NQF Level 4 or 5).
• Proven experience working with young children in an ECD setting.
• Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observational skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
• Ability to manage classroom activities and ensure safety.
• First Aid certification is highly desirable.
• A passion for nurturing young minds and contributing to their early development in Welkom, Free State .
• References from previous childcare positions.
