Job summary

NYC Public Schools’ Division of Early Childhood Education is seeking a data analyst to support operational and programmatic functions for birth to five programs across NYCPS, including Pre-K centers and contracted settings. You will work with DECE leadership and field offices to enable timely, accurate data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes data integration from ATS and teaching platforms, cleansing data, and producing clear reports using Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and two years of related experience.
• High school graduation or equivalent with six years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination allowed with at least one year of experience as described above.
• MA, MBA, MSPPM, or MPA degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Strong analytical and data manipulation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Reviews reports and inquiries submitted by NYCPS offices and partners.
• Performs analyses in support of community based organizations and special programming.
• Manages information across multiple NYCPS offices and gathers feedback from community partners.
• Researches tools for evaluation of professional development efforts and manages tools with DECE staff.
• Compiles clear, accurate communications related to developmental screening and authentic assessment topics.
• Maintains relationships with stakeholders at CBOs, Schools and Field Offices.
• Coordinates data collection and improves data quality and processing.
