Job summary

Memphis-Shelby County Schools is seeking an Associate – Early Childhood to assist the Executive Director and Head Start Director with compliance, monitoring, and administrative services for the Division of Early Childhood.

The role involves data analysis, preparing reports, handling payroll-related forms, enrollment support, and maintaining department records while ensuring high-quality customer service to staff and program participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with total education/experience of 4 years.
• Degree Equivalency Formula: Bachelor's Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.
• Master's Degree = 6 years plus required years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides clerical support and maintains files, directories, and logs.
• Assists payroll timesheets and absence forms for Early Childhood Division.
• Prepares monthly calendar and coordinates meeting requests and space scheduling.
• Supports enrollment and assessment screenings for all program options.
• Responds to inquiries about student enrollment/Head Start programs with courteous service.
• Collaborates with staff to ensure regulatory compliance and prepare reports.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Education, or related field
