Job summary

Texas A&M University - San Antonio is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher Aide II to support daily classroom activities under the guidance of the lead teacher. You will help prepare the learning environment, supervise students, and assist with materials, while maintaining professional interactions with children and families.

Responsibilities include supporting emotional, academic, physical, social, and nutritional needs, attending staff meetings, and contributing to a positive learning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with children in a childcare setting preferred.
• Two years of college education preferred; college credit in Education/Childhood Development encouraged.
• Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with implementing the daily program under supervision.
• Assists with planning learning environments and preparing materials.
• Supervises classroom when the teacher is out of the room.
• Maintains open communication with parents and staff.
• Supports overall child development including emotional, academic and physical needs.
