Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold one of the WVDE certificates listed for aide classifications.
• Aide I–IV or Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher certificates may apply.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required for some aide classifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual or small group instruction under the supervision of the teacher.
• Assist in literacy and numeracy initiatives and grade recording.
• Prepare instructional materials and supervise students as needed.
• Escort students to and from the bus and assist with classroom activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and support safety practices.
• Support special needs students within the regular classroom setting.
