Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Liberty, MS is seeking an Entry Level Child Development/Head Start educational assistant. The role focuses on classroom setup, supervision, and ondersteunung developmentally appropriate activities for 2–5 year olds.

You will work under classroom teachers to implement lesson plans and document progress. The candidate should have an Associate Degree or CDA certification with relevant experience, and be prepared to contribute to daily records, screenings, and family

Qualifications

• Associate degree in child development or related field is preferred, with one year of experience.
• CDA Certification with six months of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and setting up classrooms and learning centers based on curriculum and children's needs.
• Provide constant supervision of children during all activities, indoors and outdoors.
• Conduct classroom activities in the absence of an assigned teacher.
• Assist with developmentally appropriate activities across learning domains.
• Assist with Brigance Early Childhood Screen III screening to meet 45‑Day compliance.
• Develop group weekly lesson plans based on curriculum and children's interests.
• Implement individual/bi-weekly IEP/ISFP lesson plans within two weeks of screening/assessment.
• Record anecdotal observations weekly for each child.
• Administer the CPI assessment three times a school year for each child.
• Initiate referrals when concerns arise and coordinate with teachers and Family Community Worker.
• Record attendance daily and report absences to the Family Community Worker.
• Maintain education records for each child.
