Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Child Care Assistant Director in San Mateo, CA to help lead daily operations, support educational programming, and mentor teachers. You will foster strong family relationships and ensure high standards of care, safety, and learning in our center.

You will partner closely with the Center Director to guide operations, maintain compliance, and model our values. This role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and delivering excellent family-facing service.

Qualifications

• Must pass state and company background checks.
• Associate or higher degree in early childhood education or related field is required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Two years of leadership experience in high-quality child care, daycare, or preschool settings is required.
• Strong understanding of center quality, compliance, health, safety and licensing standards is required.
